IMF will not give anymore money to Ukraine?

”I think the IMF will not give us any more, until the end of the year,” said Oleksandr Shlapak, deputy head of Victor Yushchenko’s presidential administration. “We are not fulfilling our obligations – practically none of them,” Mr Shlapak said pointing to shortcomings by the government of Yulia Tymoshenko, prime minister and a bitter presidential opponent. Mr Shlapak’s comments come amid an IMF mission to one of the economies hit hardest by recession to discuss further co-operation. Results of last Presidential election poll - Yanukovych is a champion!

Cabinet of Ministers is eager to develop offshore carbon projects in Black and Azov Seas

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliya Timoshenko got an opportunity to correct miscalculations in the plans of offshore areas of Black and Azov seas development. Government is preparing a document that will decide the fate of oil and gas shelf. UKRAINE IS PLANNING TO CUT IMPORT OF RUSSIAN GAS IN 2010?!

Ukraine is planning to reduce the amount of Russian gas to be imported to Ukraine in 2010 to 25 billion cubic meters, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said on August 20, 2009 in Lviv. "This year, we have bought 33 billion cubic meters of Russian gas, and next year we'll import 25 billion cubic meters," she said at an annual meeting of the World Congress of Ukrainians.  Tymoshenko said that Ukraine was also planning to introduce energy saving and alternative types of fuel.
